The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has urged Muslims to renew their commitment and intensify prayers to God to overcome the nations challenges and for the success of next years general election.
The speaker, in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr Jibrin Gwamna, congratulated the Muslim community for successfully ushering in this years Ramadan.
He said prayer is key to success, hence the need for Muslims and other Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace, unity, progress and development of the country.
He also called on Muslims, especially the wealthy individuals, to use the holy month and support the less privileged in the society to enable them observe the holy month with ease.
Abdullahi enjoined believers to use the period to also offer special prayers for the nation to overcome its security and other emerging challenges.
Besides, the speaker called on Muslims and other Nigerians to pray for leaders to succeed.
This is to enable Nigerians enjoy more dividends of democracy, he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
