The Lagos State Ministry of Health has cleared the family of four children and their teacher who came in from the United States and were in close proximity with someone infected with #COVID19.

In a tweet today, the ministry said all the five tested negative to the pandemic virus.

It was earlier reported that six individuals, that comprises of a family of four children and their teacher who came into Nigeria from the United States, and were believed to have been in close proximity with someone suspected to be infected with the disease prior to their trip, and a traveller from the United Kingdom who showed certain symptoms associated with the disease.

The government said that at the moment, the state has only 2 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

“We have been testing suspected cases of #COVID19 and so far all have been negative except for the two”, it said.

Goverment also announced its plans to flood the market with hand sanitizer, deploring the current profiteering by retailers.

“As Lagosians, let’s continue to demonstrate responsibility, responsiveness, solidarity and support in the fight to break the circle of infection”, it said.
