The affected parts may be susceptible to premature failure or cracks resulting from the improper manufacturing process, the FAA said in a statement.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed no fewer than 71 personnel, three patrol vehicles and one ambulance on the Sagamu-Ore-Benin Expressway for the Eld-el-Fitri celebration.

Mr Philip Ozonnandi, the FRSC Unit Commander made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ore, Ondo State on Monday.

He said that the Sallah Special Patrol which began from June 1 to June 8 was to ensure free flow of traffic and safety on the Sagamu-Ore-Benin expressway.

Ozonnandi urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are in good conditions before putting them on the highway and to also drive with patience and caution to arrive their destination safely.

He also advised motorists to obey all traffic rules and to also stop for routine checks by FRSC personnel/

Ozonnandi said that the FRSC personnel were on the highway for the safety of motorists, their families and loved ones.

We have deployed 71 personnel, three vehicles and one ambulance on the Sagamu-Ore-Benin expressway for the Sallah celebration.

I urge motorists plying the expressway not to flout traffic rules like speeding, over loading, drunk driving, use of expired tyres, non-usage of seat belts, making calls on wheels, among others, Ozonnandi said. (NAN)

The Securities and Exchange Commission had said it had set up an interim management team to oversee the affairs of Oando following the suspension of companys Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wale Tinubu.

The Imo state governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has given the immediate past Governor of Imo, Rochas Okorocha up to midnight of Tuesday June 4, 2019 to do a proper handover to his government.

Ihedioha spoke at the Government House in Owerri, during the swearing into office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Uche Onyeaguocha and Chief of Staff, Chris Okewulonu.

The governor afterwards ordered the Permanent Secretary, and Head of Service, under Okorocha, to quickly prepare all the necessary documents and hand them over to the SSG, and Chief of Staff, before tomorrows midnight.

The governor also wanted Imo people who desired to have a feel of the dilapidation in the government house at the moment, to feel free to do so.

Ihediohas warning is coming days after it was reported in Vanguard that he claimed that it has been very difficult for him as governor to operate from the current Imo state government House and in addition, he did not have documents to work on as a governor.

As it is now, Ihedioha is yet to make public where he will be operating from to administer his official duties as the governor of the state, for the meantime.

Ihedioha briefly said: I direct Head of Service and Permanent Secretary, to ensure a complete handover of all government properties, the last administration utilised on behalf of Imo people to SSG and Chief of Staff of Imo state government. I want the process to be completed by midnight tomorrow.

I spoke to Imo people that we will start work we will resume work. We will give no excuses of not performing. We will give dividend of democracy irrespective of the status of the state of facilities I inherited.

The government that ended was not prepared to handover or ready to receive us. I thank Imo people for receiving us and we shall serve the state with the fear of God.

(dpa/NAN) An Indian plane with 13 people on board went missing on Monday in the countrys remote north-east, prompting authorities to launch search operations.

The Antonov An-32, took off from the Jorhat airbase in the Assam state for the Mechuka military landing strip, in Arunachal Pradesh state.

It was carrying eight crew members and five passengers, official sources told broadcaster NDTV.

I Spoke to vice chief of Indian Airforce (IAF) Air Marshal Rakesh Singh Bhadauria, regarding the missing aircraft which is overdue for some hours, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Twitter.

He has apprised me of steps taken by the IAF to find the missing aircraft. I pray for the safety of all passengers on board, Singh added.

The flight had been scheduled to land at Mechuka in an hour, but the aircraft lost contact with ground forces 30 minutes after take-off, the report said.

The IAF had launched search operations to track the plane.

The plane is likely to have gone missing over the eastern Himalayan range, where the terrain is mountainous with a thick forest.

The landing and take-off approaches to Mechuka are extremely difficult.

In 2016, an Indian air force An-32 disappeared while flying over the Bay of Bengal.

A search-and-rescue operation was launched, but the aircraft was never found.

All 29 people onboard were presumed dead.

Andy Ruiz Jr produced one of the biggest shocks in the history of heavyweight boxing to rip Anthony Joshua's IBF, WBO and WBA world heavyweight titles from him and tear up the division's proposed plot lines.

In a truly remarkable fight at New York's Madison Square Garden, Ruiz floored Joshua four times en route to a seventh-round stoppage which stunned this famous arena and handed the Briton his first defeat.

Joshua was a 1-25 favourite with bookmakers and will now join the likes of Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson as dominant champions to suffer losses which brought the sport to a standstill.

And this was no fluke, no punch from the ages, it was the breakdown of a fighter who looked shattered from an early stage.

After flooring Ruiz with a left hook in the third round, Joshua hit the canvas when a right crashed against his temple. By the time a sensational three minutes was up he had been down again thanks to a flurry when cornered.

It created an electric buzz amongst the 19,000 or so in the arena. Just what was happening? Were they going to see the unthiknable?

Ruiz was not even supposed to be here. He took the bout at six weeks' notice and tickets were being collected by fans 24 hours before the bout which still had the name of Jarrell Miller - Joshua's original opponent - printed on them.

By the seventh round, when Joshua touched down under a flurry of shots again, the game looked up. Seconds later he was down on all fours again and spat his gum shield out, perhaps to buy time.

He simply did not have it. The bout was waved off and all that was planned for the glamour division was ripped up thanks to a man who had been dubbed unglamorous because of his rounded physique.

Ruiz, from appearance to pedigree, was an underdog in every sense of the word. When Britons wake up on Sunday morning, they will read of a truly iconic upset.

Ruiz, American born but with Mexican parents, becomes Mexico's first heavyweight world champion, just as he said he would.

When Joshua sat down with the media on Wednesday, virtually every question directed at him was about his future, not this bout.

He said he was "seeing the bigger picture" and maybe therein lies the problem.

After six fairly tentative minutes from both men he scored his knockdown from a crisp left hook as the pair boxed up close. Normal order appeared set to play out.

Moments later when he himself hit the deck, we were taken back to his titanic struggle with Wladimir Klitschko. The night was on a cliff edge, simply do not blink.

And from that first knock down, he never appeared comfortable. Whether it be stamina, a lack of focus or a lack of preparation for his late stand-in, this was not the Joshua the travelling 8,000 strong army of British fans had grown to know.
