A 22-year old housewife, Mrs. Nkiruka Wilfred, has been arrested for allegedly committing bigamy by getting married two additional husbands in order to satisfy her sexual desire.

Reports have it that the incident happened at Abakiliki town, Ebonyi State, where they reside.

The housewife, Nkiruka Wilfred, was charged before the Ebonyi State Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Abakaliki, for engaging two additional husbands, Chijioke Obasi, 47 and Stanley Mbam, 30, in an unlawful marriage in the State.
She was said to have first got married to Chijioke Obasi and later to Stanley Mbam when she realised that Chijioke was unable to meet up with her sexual needs while her marriage with her real husband, Dr. Solomon Nwankwo, still subsisted.

The matter was reported to the Police and the housewife, Nkiruka Wilfred, was arrested. She reportedly admitted and complained that she did so because she was not enjoying sex during her sessions in bed with her previous spouses.

They were charged before the Magistrates at Mbam Street, Hausa Quarters at Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, on three-count charge of conspiracy, bigamy and fraud.
The Police Prosecutor, ASP Mathias Eze, told the Court that the offence was culpable under segments 516A (a), 370 and 419 (An) of the Criminal Code Cap. 33, Vol. 1, Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria, 2009.
ASP Eze explained that bigamy implies a circumstance whereby a lady is hooked to two spouses in the wake of getting a statutory marriage. The matter was further adjourned for the defendants to face trial on subsequent date for hearing.

    0_1581965290626_Leah-Sharibu-.jpg

Much earlier in the days of her terrorist abduction, there was a spirited attempt by the Federal Government acting through third parties to pay a ransom in a bid to secure the release of Leah Sharibu, but her abductors who had made the financial demand backed out when payment was offered.

According to knowledgeable government sources last night, the money was ready to be delivered when the terrorists who had made the request for a specific amount totalling several tonnes of millions of Naira in hard currency, changed their minds and rejected any ransom.

While the channels of communication between top security agents of the government, third parties and the terrorists at times take more than a month to complete one line of messages back and forth, the FG reached an agreement after such a long communication procedure only to be turned back after an agreement.

In the circumstances the FG determined to secure the release requested for an explanation as to the sudden refusal to receive the ransom by the terrorists only to be told by some of the third line communication channels that the terrorists decided they would never accept a ransom on Leah because they hoped to use her abduction to rankle religious passion and possibly cause a religious war in the country if they could.

According to a government source, “while the FG remains strongly committed to securing the release of Leah and all other identified and unidentified abductees, by any means necessary, the terrorists chose much earlier after Leah’s abduction to use her to fan religious embers and cause devastating division in the country. And that was why the terrorists rejected the ransom government security agencies prepared to pay for Leah’s release.”

The source explained further that top presidential officials still encouraged FG officials to remain actively engaged with the channels of communication and the negotiators until a positive resolution is reached “because the President has set a firm target and resolve to ensure the freedom of Leah and others by any means necessary.”

Popular TV presenter and actress, Laura Monyeazo Abebe, popularly known as Moet Abebe may have spent the St. Valentine’s Day all alone. The AOP actually gave herself away in a series of posts she made three days before Val’s Day.

In the post she was rather obsessed with herself, preaching the gospel of loving oneself and making love to oneself with direct reference to St. Valentine’s Day.

In the first post, which she made with luscious picture of herself in sensual red dress with a tease of her boobs peeping, she said, “ Valentine’s round the corner,” like she was giving out a secret.

Then, she followed it up with a picture of herself alone at a dinner table, yet in a red dress, saying, “Dinner for one is served, who needs a Valentine? When you’ve got all this love to give to yourself.

Afterwards, she finished it with another post that may have nailed our suspicion that the British-born Nigerian was truly alone, loving herself on Valentine’s Day. “Make love ❤️to yourself as no one loves you the way you love yourself,” she said.

There are many sides to St. Valentine’s Day celebration. Like one actress recently aptly puts it, there are victims of St. Valentine’s Day, which according to her, are mostly married people and lovers.

She said the day is not actually seen by most to celebrate the one in their lives but a quickie with a love conquest or a crush that needs convincing. Thinking along same line is another Nollywood actress, Onyi Odimegwu Obodoechina, known as Delaposh on Instagram.

In her post some days before Valentine’s day, she reveals what she wants for the day and what others should really be mindful of.

“Some people have started receiving Val’s gifts. Please, don’t send me flowers, cards or forwarded message to avoid embarrassment. At least send me G-string if you don’t know what to send, it’s better than audio gift,” she said.

Then probably giving a hint she doesn’t give a damn from what source her gift may materialize from, she added, “No man belongs to one woman alone. You can’t be good enough for everyone but you will always be the best for the one who deserves you. Remove expectations from people and you will remove their power from hurting your feelings.

    0_1581948586091_Bukola-Shittu.jpg
Budding Yoruba actress, Bukola Shittu has opened a can of worms regarding Nigerian girls and flowers as gifts. We have seen many, at least, on TV purr with delight when their lovers present them with flowers as a gift.

In a chat with Potpourri, the video vixen turned actress, while responding to a question on her thoughts on St. Valentine’s Day opened up another vista which many may consider as controversial.

“Valentines day is a celebration of love and affection, but these days, we celebrate people that don’t love us. What I mean is that, as a young single lady, we always want to impress our loved ones then forget that we deserve to be loved in return. I respect ladies that buy gifts for their boyfriends on Val’s Day,” she quipped just as harmlessly as she could, before she dropped the poser.

“We are celebrating love so we shouldn’t expect much from each other. As a man, if you are buying any gift for Valentine please don’t just buy only flowers for any Nigerian woman, and if you decide to buy rose, please buy the real ones, I mean original rose . I, in particular hate plastic roses. I don’t even want real ones, I don’t think any Nigerian lady does,” she added sternly.

Bukola is on the final production stage of her latest movie tiled “Wild Kleptos” featuring Jide Kosoko, Jumoke George, Frank Essein among others. The movie is directed by Rotimi Raji.

Bukola Shittu, started her journey into the world of entertainment as video model before finding her feet as an actress. She’s a self-effacing lady who does her picking of choices life has to offer and wouldn’t allow anyone the driving seat in her life. When her boyfriend started acting weird because her career as a model and actress was beginning to make him uncomfortable, Bukola had no qualms in giving him the boot.
